Probably yes. Here are the minimum hardware requirements of Windows 7 RC. If your computer doesn’t have the minimum specs, don’t even try to install it to your computer.
• 1 GHz processor (32- or 64-bit)
• 1 GB of RAM (32-bit); 2 GB of RAM (64-bit)
• 16 GB of available disk space (32-bit); 20 GB of available disk space (64-bit)
• DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver

Hey, don’t get discouraged about running Windows 7 RC on your computer if you don’t have the min specs. I’ve got only 512 MB of RAM, a 256 MB Vid card and, well, I’ve got three hard disks, however, I’ve installed it on my 40 GB hard drive and I am not having very many, if any slow downs. Windows 7 RC runs great on my computer, I love it.

I had installed in my Acer Aspire One 150 successfully. It run smoothly than Windows XP although it is based on Atom core CPU, 1GB ram, 120GB hard disk. Those fancy effects do not slow down very much even I had added some Widgets. Please take look to my blog about it, I update it often.

maybe yes, anyway you can algo make a Ram upgrade, memory is very cheap.

One thing that I think will be very nice is the choice to move up to 64 bit all from the basic Ultimate package. I’ve already checked my equipment and it looks like everything will run in the 64 bit format without any problems. I specked my computer back when Vista was very nearr its introduction and have had no trouble with Vista so it looks like I’ll have plenty of reserve for W7. Even though I have only one computer i installed W7 Beta as soon as it was released and hten moved on to RC. I really do wish, though, that this GA edition would install smoothly over RC just like Beta did over Vista.

hy…i have 1024 mb RAM/3,4 ghz CPU/and a nvidia8500gt…i have installed a windows 7 -32bit version….and i love it but i dont know how games would work because it runs 50% of my RAM…but we could find on google windows 7 tips and tricks to make it work faster by closing some useless aplications
